About Budlytix
Budlytix is a discovery and comparison service. It helps you find cannabis products at licensed retailers and compare nearby stores.
Budlytix does not sell cannabis. We do not process cannabis transactions, take payment for cannabis, fulfill orders, or provide delivery. Purchases, if any, are made directly with the licensed retailer.
Eligibility and legal cannabis age
Budlytix is for adults of legal cannabis age in their province or territory. Legal age varies by place.
You must confirm you meet that age requirement before we show product and store information. That confirmation is stored in your browser. Help, Contact, Privacy, Terms, and Compliance are available without it.
If you are under the legal age, do not use the product and store parts of the site.
Product, price and availability information
Budlytix currently lists licensed cannabis retailers in Ontario. Search uses a location you set in your browser, such as a postal code, an Ontario city, or your device location if you choose to share it.
Many licensed stores are listed without a connected public menu. When menu information is available, we show products, prices, availability, and when that information was last updated.
Product, menu, price, and availability information can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Confirm anything that matters with the licensed retailer before you visit or buy.
No cannabis transactions
There is no cart, checkout, payment, order, or delivery of cannabis on Budlytix. We do not take payment for cannabis products and we do not act as the retailer.
Accounts and magic-link authentication
An account is optional for browsing. Signing in lets you save products and stores, mark products as Not for me, and keep private notes.
Budlytix uses a magic link: we email you a sign-in link. There is no password. You are responsible for the email address you use and for keeping that inbox under your control.
Shopper sign-in does not unlock retailer tools. Licensed retailers who want to claim a store should use For retailers.
Saved products/stores, Not for me and private notes
When you are signed in, Saved products, favourite stores, Not for me, and private notes are stored on your account. Other shoppers cannot see them.
We do not promise that Saved data or notes will be kept forever. We may change, limit, or remove these features, and stored items may be lost if the service changes or an account is closed.
Acceptable use
Use Budlytix only in a lawful way and only for its intended purpose. Do not:
- Submit false or misleading information on a waitlist, contact form, or store claim.
- Try to access someone else’s account, Saved lists, or notes.
- Interfere with the site or overload it.
- Use automated means to scrape, harvest, copy, or systematically extract data from Budlytix without permission.
- Use Budlytix to sell cannabis or to complete a cannabis purchase.
Retailer listings and retailer claims
Store listings are for licensed Ontario cannabis retailers. A listing on Budlytix does not mean we operate that store.
Licensed retailers may submit a claim so we can review their connection to a store. A claim is a request for verification. It does not automatically grant listing control, connect a menu, enable billing, or create a retailer dashboard.
Third-party retailers and websites
Budlytix may show retailer names, addresses, websites, and menu information that comes from licensed retailers or from information we have on file. Those retailers and websites are independent. We do not control their stores, products, hours, or policies, and a link does not mean we endorse them.
Intellectual property
Budlytix’s name, logos, website design, software, and original content are owned by Budlytix or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Retailer names, product names, packaging, trademarks, and other third-party content belong to their respective owners.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or use Budlytix’s protected content except as permitted by law or with our permission.
Service availability and changes
We may change, pause, or stop parts of Budlytix at any time, including search, Saved, notes, claims, and which stores or products appear. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that a particular store, product, or price will remain listed.
Disclaimers
Budlytix is provided as it is and as available. We do not warrant that listings, menus, prices, availability, distances, or other information are complete, current, or error-free.
We are not the licensed retailer. We are not responsible for products sold in stores, for your visit to a store, or for any purchase you make with a retailer.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Budlytix and the people who operate it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or from relying on listing information. Some places do not allow certain limitations; in those places, this section applies only as far as the law permits. This does not limit liability that the law says cannot be limited.
Suspension/termination
We may suspend or end access to Budlytix, including an account, if we believe these Terms were broken, if a submission looks abusive or untrue, or if we need to protect the service or other people. You may stop using Budlytix at any time.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If you continue to use Budlytix after an update, you are agreeing to the revised Terms.
